01. Local-First Device Storage

Wickto is architected as an offline-first application. When you score matches, player names, team configurations, overs, deliveries, extras, and wicket tallies are stored directly in your device's browser LocalStorage and IndexedDB cache.

This data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly choose to broadcast the match using our live spectator link sharing feature.

02. Live Match Sharing & Realtime Database

When you activate live spectator sharing, match data (such as team scores, active striker/non-striker, bowler figures, and ball-by-ball timeline) is synchronized with our secure Firebase Realtime Database.

• Match rooms are assigned randomized, pseudo-anonymous room identifiers.
• No personal identification data (such as government IDs or phone contacts) is required or stored.
• Spectators with the unique match URL can view score updates in real-time.

03. AI Commentary & Voice Generation

Our contextual match commentary is generated using Google Gemini AI models in your chosen language. Only anonymous match contextual statistics (such as required run rate, dot ball streaks, and boundary events) are processed to formulate commentary sentences. We do not transmit personal identifying information in prompt payloads.

Wickto utilizes minimal browser storage strictly to remember your preferences (such as Dark/Light theme mode, commentary voice language, sound effects toggle, and current match state). We do not use cross-site tracking cookies.

06. Managing & Deleting Your Data

Because match history is stored locally in your browser, you retain full control over your data. You can clear your match archives at any time by tapping "Reset / Clear History" in the settings screen or clearing your browser's application cache.
